What Is Graphic Installation?

Graphics installations come in many materials, shapes, sizes and installation surfaces. They include vinyl cut graphics for windows, walls, and floors, wall and vehicle wraps, backlit posters and billboards, 3D sculpted signs, and complex tradeshow booths.

What Does A Graphic Installation Technician Do?

Graphic Installation Technicians install vinyl graphics and lettering on windows / walls, vinyl wraps on walls and vehicles, floor graphics, and 3D signage on buildings. They cut and shape graphics to fit installation surfaces, apply graphics, adjust and remove graphics. Graphics Installation Technicians work in the workshop to prepare vinyl, and also travel to client sites to do installations. Check out the short video below.

Our WBLC Graphics Installation Technician Program Application Process Consists of three parts:

Fill In The Application

This program is funded by the Government of Canada. As part of that funding, we are required to collect demographic data on applicants.

This data will be compiled, anonymized, and shared with the Government. No individual personal data will be shared.

If you wish to review the WBLC Terms of Use / Privacy Policy, they can be found here.

Once you have completed the application, you will be sent an email with a link to complete the Assessment. You will have 72 hours to start the assessment.

Complete The Assessment

The process takes about 90 minutes, and it is to be completed in one sitting. You will be asked to complete a number of online tests that will measure some of your current competencies and skills.

We recommended that you complete the online tests on a laptop or desktop computer rather than a phone because the screen will be easier to see and use.

Example questions will be provided to show you how a test works and allow you to practice. This assessment process is designed to be fair and objective.

Interview / Coaching

If the results of this assessment process indicate that your current capabilities, competencies and attributes are a good fit with one or more of the employers offering Training Programs, you will be invited to an in-person or telephone interview.

If the assessment process shows a significant gap in one or more competencies, you may have the opportunity to sign up for some free coaching that would be directed at your specific competency gaps. If this applies to your assessment, you will be contacted and provided with more information.
